If you've lost your passport

5-step recovery

  1. File Balagh Faqdan (loss report) at the nearest police station. Keep the receipt.
  2. Call your country's embassy or consulate.
  3. Embassy issues an Emergency Travel Document — bring the loss receipt, 2 photos, and ID copies.
  4. Apply for an exit visa via Jawazat (immigration). Embassy usually facilitates.
  5. Travel home with the temporary document. Process typically takes 3–5 days.
